This place was recommended by a fellow exchange student who said they made ‘Smushi’s’ which is basically the Danish interpretation of sushi. Of course, since I haven’t had sushi at all over here, I had to try it. The interior of the cafe is amazing. A really clever concept, executed with a particular charm that reminded me of the Serendipity restaurant in New York. As i was by myself, I sat on the big table which is essentially a large dinner table that seats 8. The menu was placed inside the cover of a children’s picture book which was a nice touch. For 3 smushi’s it’s about AUD$25 which is expensive but definitely worth it! I ordered the chicken and asparagus, salmon and quail egg smushi’s and of course had a side drink of Darjeeling tea.
