CUSP: Designing into the Next Decade presents a selection of outstanding Australian designers with ideas that could change the way we inhabit the world.
It is an opportunity to challenge our own beliefs about how cultural content is presented and experienced. For this reason in particular, the team decided that rather than printing an exhibition catalogue, they would rather visitors invest their time perusing the website. I recently teamed up with Pat from The Narrative People again to create the graphics for the CUSP: Designing Into The Next Decade video series. Branding and Identity by Toko Design.

On Monday, leading Australian fashion magazine RUSSH launched the exclusive premiere of my fashion film Dis/Sect which was shot for my good friend Minette Shuen’s graduate collection. I had a blast shooting this and working with Minette on the day. It’s always great to collaborate with other designers who are able to give you creative freedom and trust that the end result will be great. Massive praise also to Katy, our incredible model who was excellent at taking art direction from us on the day. Definitely a model to watch!
In case you missed it, you can still watch the film here:
I’ve been doing a couple of branding projects lately so have been busy collecting a heap of examples online. I forgot exactly how I came across this project but I really love the entire aesthetic.
